A complete Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead. Circa 2500-1500 BCE. Knapped from a mottled dark grey / black coloured piece of flint. It is broadly symmetrical in shape with both barbs and tang being complete. Similar flint barb and tanged arrowheads are associated with the Beaker phase of the Late / final Neolithic and Early Bronze Age. This example fits into the sub-classification of arrowheads best described as Sutton types Ref: Butler 2005: 162-165.
